Welcome to Pacific Northwest Therapy!

I am a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience specializing in working with clients and their families ages 11 and older, presenting with various concerns related to anxiety, depression, relational issues, neurodiversity, trauma/complex PTSD, substance misuse, eating disorders, body image, and chronic health conditions.

I have been treating clients in various settings using an integrative holistic therapeutic approach adapted to help each person reach their personal goals. My therapy approach is collaborative, structured, culturally and trauma informed, compassionate, relational, evidence-based, and individually adapted to guide each person towards a healthier version of themselves based on their personal values and beliefs. I integrate aspects of psychodynamic relational approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and strength-based postmodern approaches like Positive Psychology and Narrative Therapy.

I received a Master of Clinical Counseling Psychology degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2008 and a Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree from William James College in Boston, Massachusetts in 2011. I have clinical experience and training at several agencies across the country including a methadone substance abuse clinic with adults, a residential and partial eating disorder facility for teens and adults, a trauma treatment facility for children and families, and a behavioral health clinic focused on treatment using biofeedback and hypnosis. As a licensed psychologist, I have worked outpatient at two group practices with children, teens, and adults. I also worked as a contracted psychologist at the Oregon State Hospital in Junction City.

I grew up near Astoria, Oregon and relocated back to the beautiful pacific northwest to be closer to my parents and siblings in 2016. I have two lovely children and a wonderful partner that keep me grounded, silly, and inspired.

It takes and incredible amount of courage (heart) to reach out and ask for help. You are not alone. I am looking forward to meeting and working with you.
